Brunswick Music Festival announces brilliant 2022 lineup

Brunswick Music Festival

The biggest event on the bustling Brunswick calendar, the Brunswick Music Festival returns across 10 days in March this year.

Now 34-years-old, Brunswick Music Fest returns to its cruisy homebase at Gilpin Park this year, playing host to a who’s who of local acts from March 4 – 14.

As always, the party will extend well beyond the park, taking attendees on a journey through some of the suburbs’ most celebrated venues, while popping up from time-to-time in some unexpected places.

Keep up with the latest music news, features, festivals, interviews and reviews here.

Gilpin Park, just off Sydney Road, will span a massive variety of genres and styles, showcasing just how eclectic the Melbourne scene can be.

Adalita, Birdz, Body Type, Didirri, Flyying Colours, Gordi, Gregor, HTRK, Irish Mythen, Kaiit, MOD CON, RAT!hammock, Ziggy Ramo and heaps more will play there over the 10 days.

The festival’s Venue 3065 program returns, more important than ever, to share the love across Brunswick’s stellar live music hotspots. Penny’s Bandroom, Stay Gold, B.East, The Retreat, Tempo Rubato, Cross Street Music Hall, Brunswick Ballroom, Bar Oussou, Noisy Ritual, Jazzlab, Moldy Fig, BMI, Howler, Rubix, Small Time, Charles Weston and Edinburgh Castle are all getting in on the fun, holding their own programming over the festival period.

Good Morning, The Dacios, Rudely Interrupted, Moody Beaches, Sugar Fed Leopards and more will return to Brunswick stages this month.

Then, we can also drop a few of the pop-up locations for you; Barkly Square, Sparta Place, Mechanics Institute and Brunswick Library have all signed on to host some special live performances, adding to the suburb-wide party atmosphere that makes Brunswick Fest – and Brunny more broadly – one of the coolest places in Melbourne.
