Flight of the Conchords' Bret McKenzie is popping into Happy Valley Vinyl for an acoustic instore this Monday, and it's going to be a tight squeeze.
Bret McKenzie will play three to four acoustic songs at the Melbourne record store before sticking around to sign records; a pretty rare chance to get up close with one half of the Conchords in an intimate setting. Spots are very limited, so if you’re keen, you’ll want to move fast.
Getting a ticket is straightforward: purchase any Bret McKenzie solo album or Flight of the Conchords vinyl from Happy Valley Vinyl, select click and collect at checkout, and a double pass is yours. Worth noting that the click and collect option is essential, you won’t be eligible without it.

If you’ve scored a pass, make sure you’re there by 3:30pm. With numbers strictly limited, rocking up late could mean missing out even with a ticket in hand.
McKenzie is best known as one half of the comedy-folk duo Flight of the Conchords alongside Jemaine Clement, the pair having built a devoted following through their HBO series and a string of beloved albums. He’s also an accomplished songwriter beyond the Conchords universe, picking up an Academy Award for the song Man or Muppet from The Muppets back in 2012.
Acoustic instores this intimate don’t come around often, and for fans of McKenzie’s work, this one’s pretty hard to pass up. Grab your vinyl, tick the click and collect box, and get there early.
