Recognised as the grand carnival of underground culture, the Bohemian Masquerade Ball is a boiling-pot of independent music, extreme circus and performance installations. A flamboyant vanguard for a whole sub-culture of junkyard hero’s, gentlemen punks, flaneur’s and neo-vaudeville performances.
Beginning in 2007 at a church hall in Northcote and evolving to large warehouses with circus tents and renegade bars, last year the toured nationally running 14 Boho Balls.

Gypsy bands, swing, jazz and blues, even classical music has appeared at the event, featuring experimental hiphop, trip-hop, glitch and wobble, threaded between circus, burlesque and cabaret acts!
The ball is back in hometown Melbourne for one final show at The Thonbury Theatre before it relocates to a larger venue.
Headline acts include: Kafka, Rapskallion, Mikelangelo & Tim Star w/ Saint Clare, Kira Puru & The Bruise, Martin Martini, Mojo Juju, Hugo & Treats, Ether, Rudekat Soundsystem w/ Lotek, and The Melotonins.
