Body Type reveal that “Expired Candy is filled with hope, love, and danger, dancing with delicious uncertainty. In pursuit of joy we dreamed up songs about mothers, sisters, dogs, nans; family tantrums, forward motion, falling in love, platonic or romantic, with someone or self. Heart breaks, tooth will shatter, but she’ll be there when it really matters. Flirty, feral and defiant, just how we like it. From our wild heart to yours, Body Type.”
With a reputation for delivering energetic and unforgettable performances, Body Type is sure to captivate audiences with their unique sound and infectious stage presence.
Expired Candy is an album that defies conventions. Featuring recently released singles like Weekend and the Double J playlisted tracks Holding On and Miss The World, the album is a euphoric and lawless rock record characterized by unfaltering intensity.
It blends oceanic yearning with sly humor, while guitars spit and swell through harmonies. The album explores the duality of mundane existence and the potential for joyous bewilderment and an inflamed imagination. Expired Candy is a testament to the band’s ability to transform gloom into resistance, offering a blistering and transformative musical experience.
Body Type’s debut album, Everything Is Dangerous But Nothing’s Surprising, was nominated for the Australian Music Prize and received critical acclaim from publications such as Rolling Stone, The Guardian, NME, Frankie Magazine, Clash, and more.
