At the time of its release, in 1974, Living On The 70’s became the highest selling album by an Australian act in Australia up until that time, the record spending 16 weeks at the top of the Australian charts. In 2011 the album came in at number 75 on the triple j Hottest 100 Albums of All Time. Their 1975 follow up, Ego Is Not A Dirty Word, also became one of the biggest selling albums in Australia, sitting in the number one spot for 11 weeks.
