Jazz piano legend Bob Sedergreen, drummer Sonja Horbelt and bassist Ivan Rosa are a tight and empathetic rhythm section having performed together for over two decades including a residency at Il Primo restaurant in Carlton followed by the release of their definitive recording, ‘The First One’. All three are involved in education and teach at a plethora of Melbourne schools.
Ivan’s cousin Oscar Rosa a fine guitarist and singer, who had spent many years playing professionally with Ivan and Sonja and lead a band playing a commercial brand of jazz and blues inspired music. As a quartet including Bob Sedergreen, they have continued to perform to appreciative crowds at many Melbourne venues.
