Montsalvat is thrilled to welcome back iconic jazz pianist Bob Sedergreen for the June Jazz Concert.
Bob has toured extensively both around Australia and overseas, including Montreal, Malaysia and Europe. Bob loves to be the lynch pin presenting musicians who deserve to be recognised. On bass, is Haydn Murtagh, who has international performing credentials and currently holds the bass chair in the Royal Australian Navy Band. On drums is Mark Voogd, a versatile, empathetic, and tasteful player who responds perfectly to his fellow musicians. On trumpet and vocals, you can hear jazz royalty, Paul Coyle. Paul plays with Bomba and The Melbourne Ska Orchestra. Our special guest for this event is tenor saxophonist Savannah Blount whose big, warm, articulate and happy sounds impress wherever she performs.
All proceeds from the concert will go to the restoration of Lily’s Cottage, one of the original Montsalvat buildings.
