Fourteen of the acts billed for this year’s Bluesfest have revealed 2021 Australian tour dates.
After the Bluesfest team were forced to cancel this year’s festival and all sideshows due to coronavirus restrictions, Bluesfest Touring has announced that 14 acts originally scheduled for Bluesfest 2020 will make their way around Australia on national tours next year.
Across March and April next year, Patti Smith and Her Band, George Benson, The Gipsy Kings, Tori Kelly, Amadou & Mariam, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles, Larkin Poe, LP, The Marcus King Band, Morcheeba, The Wailers, Walter Trout and The War & Treaty will head on Australian tours, with Allen Stone and Eagles of Death Metal also confirmed for national runs, with dates yet to be announced.
Festival Director Peter Noble OAM already announced that the beloved festival will go ahead next year, revealing that 30 acts from this year’s bill have already confirmed their availability for Bluesfest 2021, so the only question is, does this mean we’ll be seeing these artists at the festival?
Ticketholders who cannot make the rescheduled dates will be eligible for a refund. Bluesfest Touring will contact ticketholders via email today with information regarding the refund process.
Head to the Bluesfest Touring website for all tour dates.
