Melbourne-based punk sensation Blowers are premiering their much-awaited music video for Fidel Gastro today.

The video offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the band’s electrifying road tour across Europe in May and June, capturing the wild and unfiltered essence of their performances. Shot by the band themselves, the video takes viewers on a backseat ride through the chaos and raw power that defines Blowers’ live shows. The video comes at the perfect time, with their Australian album tour kicking off next week at The Curtin on July 29.

Keep up with the latest music news, festivals, interviews and reviews here.

Blowers are often found in dive bars and shit-holes of Melbourne, and their live shows are a must-see for fans of the genre. Known for their rough and unapologetic garage punk sound, Blowers has been tearing up stages across Europe and Australia in support of their latest album, Blown Again. Check out the video, edited by Leighton Bond, below.

The record, released on Chaputa Records (Portugal) and Spooky Records (Australia), is a raucous rollercoaster of triple vocal attacks, blistering guitars, and fast-paced tunes. With a tongue-in-cheek approach, Blown Again is an earworm of an album laced with a potent blend of sick humour and rebellious attitude.

Blowers’ live performances are an experience in themselves, brimming with punk power that leaves audiences  hungry for more. Having shared stages with iconic bands like Black Lips, The Chats, Cosmic Psychos, and The Cavemen, among others, Blowers has solidified their position as a force to be reckoned with in the punk scene.

Blowers’ punk anthems are a perfect blend of energy and aggression, and their live shows are a rite of passage for any punk enthusiast. Comprised of Kit Convict (vox, guitar), Andrew Porter (vox, guitar), Shannon Aswell (vox, drums), and Pip McMullan (bass), Blowers’ synergy is palpable both on and off the stage. Their music, drawing inspiration from The Spits, Jay Reatard, Wipers, and Oblivians, among others, is a testament to their raw passion for the genre.
