In unexpected music news, it turns out Ben Stiller spent his teens playing in a punk band Capital Punishment who have decided to get the gang back together and re-release their 1982 LP, and only album, Roadkill.
The reissued album will be expanded and remastered, the first taste coming today with the single ‘Muzak Anonymous’ — a post-punk meets freak funk effort that’s immediately addictive. As it happens, Stiller isn’t the only member who grew up to reach great heights either, with his fellow Captial Punishment bandmates consisting of a Supreme Court Justice for Arizona, a documentarian and musician whose family built the Brooklyn Bridge and a Professor of Slavic Studies.
The first glimpse, ‘Musak Anonymous’ promises good things to come with the forthcoming reissue of Roadkill. The album features 12 tracks in total, including two bonus tracks. Check out ‘Musak Anonymous’ below:
