The Bayside Food Truck Fiesta is set to take over Highett this weekend popping-up on Thursday November 2 and sticking around until Tuesday November 7. The event will feature over twenty-five food trucks and live music from local Melbourne artists.

This event comes from the teams behind Beyond the Valley, Pitch Music Festival and Petting Zoo Festival. Food Truck Fiesta promoter Sammy Swayn said last year the event for all ages drew in over 30 thousand people with its stalls, amusement rides and a screening of the Melbourne Cup.

“We were blown away with last year’s response,” says Swayn. “It showed there’s a real demand for food-focused, free and family-friendly experiences over the Melbourne Cup weekend.”

After a ginormous first year, the Bayside Food Truck Fiesta is back with more food vendors, live music, an Espresso Martini pop-up and unlimited dog-pats this Melbourne Cup weekend.

“This year we’ve partnered with Melbourne Martini to offer a festival in a festival,” explains Swayn. “[We are] providing punters the opportunity to indulge in a range of Espresso Martini flavours, it’ll even be on tap.”

The food line-up features Road Runner Fried Chicken, Von Crumb, Smoky Barry’s, Mr Chows, Woking Amazing and Billy Van Creamery. Plus, this year’s event features the first ever Pupper Appreciation Party giving all pooches the pampering they deserve.
