Brass and Beats is an exploration into the jazz zeitgeist, a space to witness musicians who have all but mastered their craft, given the freedom to express themselves through tune. These cats play at the intersection of Jazz and Hip Hop, breaking boundaries and pushing the envelope to new heights. Each standard, like a high-speed chase, each coy phrase a shout in the dark, every line traded like punches and blows in a boxing match.
Watch a hand selected crop of rising emcees perform their original songs with orchestral backing. Supported by crowd favourites Quintet Concoction who will be jamming out with their mix of energetic improvised jazz.
