Mayhemic metal rockers Battlesnake have announced their New Year’s takeover at the Corner Hotel, bringing thundering guitars and thrashing riffs at this year’s farewell countdown.
The Corner is well-established for housing killer gigs and this night is no exception. With special guests and its rooftop open all arvo from 4pm, Battlesnake’s celebratory end-of-the-world chaos will make for an epic entrance into 2025.

The zealous Australian seven-piece metal band have been on a killer victory lap, bestowing their electrifying sorcery from the depths of the underworld to mortal ears. Their live debut in the UK and Europe back in May spread their power far and wide. Then, they swept our nation with a series of homegrown dates across June and July.
Their latest exhilarating record, The Rise and Demise of The Motorsteeple, released Friday, June 21, further expanded their wicked, imaginative world of lumbering riffs, roaring solos and incantation-esque vocals which set the heavy rockers ablaze in the first place.
As the wild ride of 2024 winds down, Battlesnake as heavy rock disciples are gearing up to send it off with a massive night of unrestrained chaos.
Their strident metal riffage will be accompanied by guests Jack Harlon & The Dead Crows, heavy psych and desertlike doom rockers who are as capable as their headliners in bringing on a menacing sound.
The party is set to endure with doors swinging open from 4pm for unending rooftop shenanigans, plus DJs spinning tunes all night. Punters will need a copious amount of pres in them if they truly want to embrace Battlesnake’s high-impact spectacle as they slither into the year of the snake.
