Australia’s only rock street festival is returning after a four-year hiatus with Mudhoney headlining

The returning beloved Cherry Bar festival has had a four-year hiatus and returns with some massive names.

Being Australia’s only street festival dedicated to rock n roll, the CherryRock festival is a long-awaited event to the CBD. Changing from their original staple location on AC/DC lane, they are now taking over Little Collins Street for the day.

What better way to usher in another era of CherryRock than to welcome back the pioneers of early grunge; Mudhoney. Seeing as it’s been eight years since the band has played in Australia, CherryBomb now has perhaps one the biggest comebacks this year.

Though a full line-up hasn’t been released, its past acts imply that it won’t disappoint, previously featuring legends such as Amyl & The Sniffers, Richie Ramone, The Meat Puppets, Dan Sultan, Rose Tattoo and many more.

Early bird tickets are on sale now and are expected to go quick. If you want more information about the event, please visit the event page here.
