Australian Chamber Orchestra Announce 2013 Season

aco.jpg

The 2013 season will start with a bang as electric violinist Richard Tognetti takes to the stage with his performance of Electric Preludes by acclaimed Australian composer Brett Dean.

Legend Barry Humphries will add to the season with a collection of 1930s Berlin music that inspired him into music, while praised pianist Jeremy Denk will perform in Australia for the first time. Sir John Eliot Gardiner and the Monteverdi Choir will collaborate for a rendition of Bach’s Christmas Oratoria, while ‘the rolls royce of counter-tenors’, Andrew Scholl, will sing Vivaldi.

ACO favourite, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, will express her free-spirited composition through three violin concertos and that’s only the surface of ACO’s 2013 program.
