Aunty Blue: “Always Say The Wrong Thing” Single Launch

Who doesn’t relate to the title of this release? Get ready for a night where all guards will be down. Leave your egos at the door and place your hearts on your sleeve.

Aunty Blue has emerged from lockdowns with a vengeance. Having released their debut single “Dylan” earlier this year. They are backing up this vendetta with another release.

“Always Say The Wrong Thing” is a crowd favourite that leaves the front row windswept and raw. It is set to arrive into the digital world on the 2nd September.

And who better to warm the hearts and the stage of our favourite little venue than Eve Morden & Araminta?

We would like to acknowledge that this event will take place on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri woi wurrung people of the Kulin Nation.

Sovereignty has never been ceded. Always was and always will be…

$10 presale.
$15 on the door.

Grown from the Golden plains of Victoria’s West, the sunny hills of South African suburbia and the rolling fields of Regional NSW. Aunty Blue are launching heart-first into Melbourne’s independent music scene.

Now based in Naarm/Melbourne, these four friends have joined forces to create music that lies somewhere between the gritty melancholic cries of Sharon van Etten, groovy neo-soul tones of Tom Misch, and grounded by the smooth rhythms and sweetly phrased textures of good old Jeff Buckley.

This band has the gangly limbs of an awkward teenager but the heart of your sweet old neighbour and her Maltese poodle.
