Suitable applicants would have a broad spectrum of skills including, but not limited to:
Bumping in/out of venues
Set-up and breakdown of digital audio systems
Running sound-checks, and sound tests
Live mixing and of vocals and backing tracks in a wide variety of auditoriums, with a diverse array of PA’s
Maintaining equipment on tour
Forward communications with venue technicians
Manual drivers license
Safe and secure loading and unloading of the production truck
Bumping in/out of venues including supervision of local crew
Managing the logistical needs of the tour on the road
Reporting and communication with the tour Producer
The audio (touring) technician is an official representative of HITs management team while on the road, and we require someone with excellent communication skills and adaptability, who is capable of making difficult decisions in tight timeframes which will best service the tour, tour personnel, the venues, and the audiences.
The remuneration for this role is $1200 per week, inclusive of Superannuation and Holiday Pay. Applicable touring allowances (per diems) will be paid at standard industry rates.
All accommodation and travel arrangements outside of the applicant’s home base are covered by HIT Productions. Preferably the successful applicant will be based in Melbourne, although this is open for discussions.
The dates of employment will be from Monday October 15 until Monday December 3 inclusive of a ten day rehearsal period in Melbourne before the commencement of the tour.
