Arts and Events Program Marketing Officer At Hobsons Bay City Council

An opportunity exists for a program marketing officer to work within the arts and events department at Hobsons Bay City Council. Working within a supportive team, the program marketing officer will be responsible for delivering plans that will help maximise awareness of and participation in arts and cultural programs and events.

The position will work across a range of arts and events including the areas of visual arts, community cultural development and cultural events.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of communications and marketing plans, be able to prepare and promote work in a number of disciplines, including content for web use,  newsletters and promotional information material.  A creative approach and exceptional communication skills are required, as well as an affinity for arts and events in a community environment.

Occasional events work may be required so a degree of flexibility would be preferred. 

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience and initiative, who is looking to work in arts, events and marketing in a community context.

Temporary Part Time – 3 days per week (maternity leave replacement November 2012 – October 2013). Band 5 – $58,214 – $67,839 pro rata (+ super).
