The applicant must have:
– Knowledge of, and contacts within, the national and international film industry demonstrated through artistic direction of, or creative input into other film festivals.
– Ability to source current material locally, nationally and internationally.
– Ability to deliver engaging and innovating programs (with a particular focus on school age and new filmmakers) which can be demonstrated, if possible, through independent media reviews .
– Demonstrated ability to devise and manage budgets.
– Specialist knowledge and experience in all aspects of film production.
– Advanced understanding and experience with PC and Mac systems & editing software.
– Excellent knowledge of copyright issues pertaining to film, music, the internet and photography.
– Excellent logistical, management and communication skills.
