Over the past 45 years Arena has gained national and international acclaim for creating inspiring live performances that have a genuine engagement with young audiences. Arena seeks an established arts practitioner with the imagination and creativity to lead the company into its next exciting phase.
As Arena’s Artistic Director you will shape and promote the artistic vision and direction of the company. Working with the General Manager as co-CEO, you will lead a small dedicated team of staff, freelance creatives and contractors to produce work that enhances the Company’s national and international reputation for excellence.
You will be a national leading voice for cultural thinking and advocacy in the area of theatre for young people. You will maintain and strengthen relationships with key performing arts organisations, festivals, sponsors, donors and local, State and Federal government agencies.
