The beloved festival is set to go ahead from Friday November 12 until Sunday November 14.
Chopped has just announced its 2021 headliner with Amyl & The Sniffers topping the bill. The first artist announcement the beloved festival has made for its November event, Chopped has endured a luckless time of it amidst COVID, with the occasion having to consistently reschedule.
It’s original date of October 2-4, 2020, was shifted to January 22-24 in 2021, billed as its ‘Summer Chopped’ event, before then being pushed to April 16-18, 2021. In March, with the ongoing uncertainty surrounding COVID, the festival made the decision to reschedule again to its current date, November 12-14 this year.
Keep up with all the new festival news, reviews and interviews here.
For those not across Chopped, the festival is described as “three days of non-stop hot rod dirt drag action”, with the open dirt drag strip its staple attraction. A weekend of full-throttle entertainment, festival-goers have the perfect vantage point for the helter skelter drag racing taking place before them, whether it be classic rods, bikes, gassers or dragsters tearing up the dirt.
There’s also the Show and Shine Arena, where punters can explore an outdoor showroom of vintage automobiles, spanning pre-65-styled hot-rods, customs and motorcycles.
And when it comes to the music program, with Amyl & The Sniffers already announced, and past festivals welcoming the likes of The Chats, Hard-Ons, Japanese garage rockers The 5.6.7.8’s, Los Tones, Graveyard Train, and many more, the rest of the bill is sure to be brimming with the best emerging and established music talent.
