Today, MTV Australia confirmed that Amy Shark will be the second artist to play MTV Unplugged Melbourne – a new initiative aimed at showcasing local talent. Shark will follow on from Gang of Youths whose performance is set to kick off the series.
The second episode, MTV Unplugged Melbourne: Amy Shark, will be filmed in front of a small live audience, making it an intimate fan event. Shark has been on the rise since her single ‘Adore’ hit the airwaves, making hers the name on everyone’s lips, and her appearance will no doubt justify her success.
If you can’t catch Shark in the flesh, fear not. The MTV Unplugged performance will be broadcast via MTV later this year for your viewing pleasure on Foxtel and Fetch.
MTV Unplugged Melbourne is hosted by Visit Victoria and is set to feature two more live performances in 2018, so check back here for more announcements.
