One of Australia’s commanding beat-masters, Alexander Flood possesses a finessed arsenal of groove, power, and expertise on the drums. Leading his band from the drum chair, Alex’s original music pushes a fresh rhythmic and dynamic realm of live dance music leaning on nu-jazz, deep-house, broken beat, DnB, UK Garage, funk and experimental sounds. The band is catching ears within Australia and internationally, having recently performed at festivals across Aus and Europe, with more international dates upcoming.

While touring Europe with six-time Grammy nominee Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah’s band in 2022, Alex recorded his third album Oscillate in Berlin. The LP featured an all-star line-up of Horatio Luna, Àbáse, and Paulo Cedraz, releasing through Berlin label Jakarta Records in 2023 to great critical acclaim. Alex is currently finishing up his fourth album, featuring Naarm-based flautist Erica Tucceri, who has recently been named the Take Note Jazz Leader for the upcoming Melbourne International Jazz Festival 2024. Alex will be premiering new material at this event.

Emma Volard is one of Narrm’s most enigmatic and staunchly authentic acts. Her music is entrenched in lavish harmonies, broken beats and gut-wrenching lyricism, and has garnered attention from national and international tastemakers alike.

Having continued to evolve to greater heights in recent years, Em has landed festivals including Meadow, New Year’s Eve on the Hill and Brunswick Music Festival.
