The Answer Is Always Yes, which dropped on May 19, is Alex Lahey’s third studio album. Preceded by singles including Talkin’ Shit and They Wouldn’t Let Me In, the album centred around the theme of staying positive in the face of uncomfortable situations.
It combined touching and, at times, downright funny lyrics with the artist’s signature upbeat charm.
Fans can expect to hear much of the new album featured on tour as well as all-time favourite tracks from her archive such as Wes Anderson and Everyday’s The Weekend.
Alex Lahey sprung onto the scene with the release of her 2016 track You Don’t Think You Like People Like Me, which won her the Josh Pyke Partnership and was highly acclaimed by triple j and Pitchfork.
She went on to release two prior studio albums, I Love You Like A Brother and The Best Of Luck Club.
A true hometown hero and alternative rock gem, Alex Lahey is guaranteed to dazzle fans when she hits the road this August.
