So then, what’s the band name and what do you ‘do’ in the band?

Lights on at Heathrow and I play the guitar and sing

What do you reckon people will say you sound like?

Hopefully not shit! I think we have a fair bit of late 90’s Aussie music in us. It’s pretty hard to describe your music and not sound like a tosser though

What do you love about making music?

I love it when a song clicks together for the first time on stage and you notice your head, and all the heads in the crowd bopping along.

What do you hate about the music industry?

Everybody wants something from you. You don’t get shows for being a great band you get show for getting punters along. Your music could sound like shit but because you have heaps of mates coming down you continually get shows, but that’s capitalism I suppose isn’t it. You’ve got to make money.

If you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff, who would it be and why?

Probably John Lennon, not because I’d like to show him our music, but because I really don’t think you could pass up any opportunity to meet and have a chat with someone like John.

If you could assassinate one person or band from popular music, who would it and why?

I’m not too fond of ABBA, I used to teach music and I once kicked a student out of my class for suggesting that we listen to and learn an ABBA song to learn, so perhaps ABBA. Also Jason Derulo or whatever his name is for his recent murdering of the banana boat song by Harry Belafonte.

What can a punter expect from your live show?

Lots of energy, a drummer in a chicken suit, a large drunk man playing the bass and swaying his hips like a wrecking ball, a guitarist with half his head shaved, driving his many ladies crazy, lots of energy, great songs and hopefully a Halls and Oates cover, but well have to see

What’ve you got to sell CD-wise?

We have an EP creatively titled Lights On At Heathrow.

When’s the gig and with who?

Saturday 23 of July at Pony, playing with Suziecoil, Kashmere Club and The Sophisticants.

Anything else to add?

Go tiges!
