The shimmering star of Alex Cameron continues to shine bright, he’s a songwriter par excellence – conceptual and authentic and one of music’s most exciting artists. The effortlessly catchy synth-pop star and his sultry six-piece live band – including sax player and collaborator Roy Molloy – are a dynamic force, equal parts hip thrusting rhythm and tongue tantalising tunes.

In the sixteen years since his debut album, Jack Ladder’s varied musical journey has been notable for some sharp stylistic turns but has always been connected by a singular song writing talent.

Released back in May 2020, their sixth album Imploding The Mirage features a huge spread of collaborations with artists including Lindsey Buckingham, kd lang, Weyes Blood Adam Granduciel (War On Drugs), Blake Mills and Lucius. Drawing from influence ranging from Kate Bush to Peter Gabriel, the album sees The Killers exploring a new sonic direction. Having moved from their hometown in Las Vegas before writing and recording the album, Imploding The Mirage leaves behind the grit of the band’s Nevada roots, pushing them out of their comfort zone.

Selling more than 30 million albums worldwide, and headlining all of the world’s top festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, the band have gone on to receive countless accolades, including multiple Grammy nominations, American Music Award nominations, MTV Video Music Awards and NME Awards.

On the very same day that 2017’s Wonderful Wonderful hit #1 on the ARIA Album chart, the band took to the stage at the hallowed Melbourne Cricket Ground for the 2017 AFL Grand Final and absolutely nailed their set, delivering exuberant energy that punters can expect from their forthcoming Australian tour.
