African fusion restaurant Polēpolē is hosting an authentic safari experience

Complete with a delectable four-course meal.

Melbourne Food and Wine Festival is only one month away and African-Australia fusion restaurant Polēpolē has something glamorous up its sleeve: a glamping dinner and Tanzanian safari adventure, set within the transformed walls of the CBD premise.

Featuring a four-course fusion meal with matching wine, the evening will be hosted by Maasai warrior and safari specialist Allen Mollel. Mollel will share experiences from his upbringing and stories of his homeland of Tanzania. To add some more atmosphere, the evening’s festivities are all held inside an intimate tent setting.

Polēpolē means ‘relax’ or ‘take it easy’ in Swahili, and that’s exactly what the restaurant has done. Inspired by their travels through East Africa, restaurant owners Dean and Jeanelle Mariani felt the need to bring the vibrant, authentic cuisine of Tanzania and Kenya back to Melbourne.
