Define your genre in five words or less:
Popular folk and blues.
How long have you been gigging and writing?
I have been writing for about five or six years, but playing guitar for about eight.
What has been your favourite gig you’ve played to date?
Playing on the steps of State Parliament House at a carbon tax protest. I love stepping outside of what I’m used to.
Which band would you most like to have a battle/showdown with?
I’m not very competitive but if you held a gun to my head, I’d say Paul Dempsey… I feel I’d learn a lot. Win or in particular; lose.
What inspires or has influenced your music the most?
Travel, friends lost and found, facial hair and finding a real classy piece of clothing to match.
Why should everyone come and see your band?
When I see other musicians play, I get a sense of something that they’ve felt through the honesty in their music; a fearlessness against their own reservation. That kind of honesty is completely beautiful to me. If anyone that could hear that in my music, it’s basically win/win – a cycle complete.
