On Monday night, ACMI’s CEO and Director Katrina Sedgwick paid tribute to Bowie’s legacy. “Vale David Bowie. An extraordinary artist who had so much impact on so many lives over so many decades. The V&A David Bowie is exhibition we hosted recently at ACMI was such a celebration of his work. It broke attendance records wherever it was presented around the world and showed how vibrantly dynamic and ground breaking his creativity was – in music, art, fashion, film, design – and what a vital and brilliant collaborator. His passing is a tragic loss. Rest in peace.”
The free event in ACMI’s Lightwell will provide a place for fans to enjoy music and each other’s company. All welcome.
In 2015, ACMI was host to the David Bowie is exhibition which saw over 200,000 visitors. A condolence book has been set up in the Lightwell since Tuesday with fans dropping in to pay their respects.
