With comparisons to Catcher in the Rye and The Perks of Being a Wallflower, writer and director Bouli Lanners illustrates a coming-of-age tale of two boys who are abandoned at their grandfather’s house by their mother for the summer and meet Danny, the local teen.
Danny introduces the naive boys to the world of weed, girls, sex and money, and with no parents to reprimand their behaviour the boys have to learn their own morale. Set in the picturesque Luxemburg, Lanners relies on the isolated town to create metaphor and to magnify the hectic lifestyle of the two boys.
