Melbourne-based photographic artists Honey Long and Prue Stent have become renowned for their captivating work, blurring the boundaries between the human body and nature. Their visually arresting photographs have garnered a substantial following, with over 200,000 social followers. Typically, their prints command prices in the thousands, but now, for a limited time, art enthusiasts can own a piece of their work for a more accessible price.

The print, titled Wax Diptych, is available for purchase at $350 AU unframed or $650 AU framed, with only 150 editions available. Wax Diptych is derived from their recently launched photobook, Drinking From The Eye, commissioned by PHOTO Australia for the PHOTO 2024 International Festival of Photography in Melbourne, taking place from March 1 to 24 next year.
Long & Stent’s work is characterised by their experimental approach, incorporating photography, sculpture, performance, and fashion. They provoke thought and evoke emotions regarding the human body, its relationship with physicality, and its connection to the natural world. In ‘Drinking From The Eye’ and ‘Wax Diptych,’ the artists dissolve the human form within landscapes and material relations, creating hybrid compositions that perpetually shift and evolve.
The Wax Diptych print is part of the PHOTO Australia print series, which adopts a unique circular fundraising model to support both artists and collectors. Each editioned print is selected from commissioned works, with the donated image printed for a limited sale. The proceeds contribute to PHOTO Australia’s efforts to commission new works by artists for future editions of the festival.
