Annalisa Fernandez delivers warm, textured R&B shaped by a lineage that runs through Victoria Monét and SiR. Rita Satch, born in Uzbekistan and raised in Naarm, blends soul, jazz and cinematic orchestration into rich, transportive compositions. Her debut album Meet Me in the Garden has drawn comparisons to Sade and Phyllis Hyman, alongside support from BBC 6 Music and Jazz FM.
Teymori (Amin Payne) brings his organic, Afro-influenced live sound, building on a debut EP created with collaborators from Hiatus Kaiyote and 30/70. Lani Zimmer’s nu-jazz vocals balance classic phrasing with a modern sensibility, echoing the spirit of Erykah Badu and Cleo Sol. Rounding out the live acts, Orange Moon introduce a blend of funky brass and ethereal dual vocals, pairing driving rhythms with influences from The Soul Jazz Orchestra and Kelela.
Holding the room together between live sets is DJ Man Child, co-founder of the ARIA-nominated Public Opinion Afro Orchestra. A dedicated funk and soul selector since 2001, he keeps the energy consistent from start to finish.
Downstairs, Kate Miller and Emelyne go back-to-back, a pairing that has already lit up the Sydney Opera House. Miller is known for fluid, genre-spanning sets shaped by time at Berlin’s Panorama Bar and De School. Emelyne, a mainstay of Melbourne’s scene through PBS and Northside Records, draws across hip-hop, bass, dub, broken beat and experimental electronics with rare depth.
Ed Kent brings a deep-digging, uncompromising approach, with past appearances at Manchester’s Warehouse Project and Berlin’s RSO. Bella Funk rounds out the lineup, tracing a path from 70s disco-funk through to deep house and nu-disco.
Beyond the music, a portion of every ticket sold will be donated to SANE Australia, supporting people living with complex mental health challenges through free digital services, peer support and recovery programs.
Founded in 2018 by Josh Olave and Charlie Woods, Moor Music has consistently championed emerging artists working at the intersection of nu-jazz and contemporary electronic sound. What began as a local block party has grown into a platform grounded in inclusivity, with a focus on amplifying underrepresented voices.
Eight hours, start to finish. Arrive early. Stay late. Let it unfold.
