A scandalous revival of Oscar Wilde’s comedy, The Importance of Being Earnest, will be performed by Bloomshed from 1 – 11 August at Fortyfivedownstairs.
This latest production takes a satirical look at high society, featuring frills, finery, and frivolity. The self-aware adaptation transforms Wilde’s irreverent satire into a display of gross indecency, described as plush punk. Expect Bunbrying and cucumber sandwiches where they almost certainly don’t belong.
