A Ronnie James Dio hologram tour is coming to Australia

Ronnie James Dio of Black Sabbath, Dio and Heaven & Hell passed away from stomach cancer in 2010, but his legacy and music continue to live on in the hearts — and holograms — of many.

After a Dio hologram was activated at a festival in Germany, a full world tour has now been announced to take the spirit of Dio on the road on the ‘Dio Returns’ world tour.

The Dio hologram will be backed by a live band consisting of musicians (which as far as we can tell, none of which are holograms) from Dio Disciples including Craig Goldy, Simon Wright, Scott Warren and Bjorn Englen.

While no date or venue has been confirmed, you can see Australia on the tour poster below.
