A new blues festival is coming to the Mornington Peninsula

The blues scene is alive and well in Victoria.

It’s gearing up to be a bluesy 2019, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be feeling blue. Bluesfest is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a bang and Bruthen Blues and Arts festival is right around the corner. Now, there’s a new kid on the blues block: the Mornington Peninsula Blues Festival, packed full of incredible local acts.

The festival is spearheaded by Patrick Elliget, the mastermind behind the Mornington Peninsula Blues Sessions. The intimate live music sessions have been running for four years now and have become a favourite of the local Mornington community.

On the festival’s inaugural lineup is rock and blues legends Ross Wilson and the Peaceniks, Claude Hay, Sweet Felicia and the Honeytones and more. The blues scene is alive and well in Victoria, and Mornington blues diehards are in safe hands by the looks of it.
