Node 0 is a bi-annual event organised by the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music’s Interactive Composition department. For their next instalment, they’ll be catapulting you into the galaxy and amongst the stars.
Lounge Beats is the title – picture downtempo, moody and atmospheric beats brought to you by some first-class DJs. The feature artist of the occasion is BUOY. A true innovator in the electronic world, the Sydney producer has taken the world by storm since rushing onto the scene, receiving airplay on triple j Unearthed, BBC Radio and KCRW. She’s also supported the likes of ODESZA, Jagwar Ma and Belle & Sebastian.
Other artists performing include recent graduates of the degree, Eilish Gilligan and Cool Explosions’ Elle Young. As you sip on a delicately crafted cocktail, recline in a sofa and enjoy a truly intergalactic experience. The VCA Film and TV Animation department will be presented lavish visual installations to further embellish the experience.
