The Bandwagon is parking its pop-up stage in Prahran Square for three afternoons of live music.

The Bandwagon is a custom-converted ute that doubles as a pop-up stage, turning up in places you wouldn’t usually expect to catch a gig.

It’s set to park at Prahran Square on 15, 22 and 29 November, with each session running from 4pm to 6pm. The sounds will range from funk and soul to acoustic and beyond. Local Victorian musicians will take the spotlight, and a live DJ will be on hand each time to keep the tunes going.

Musician and creative director Fem Belling is curating the series, lining up the artists who’ll play on The Bandwagon.

The idea is to give the Square a lively soundtrack, so locals and passers-by can settle in, grab a spot and soak up the atmosphere.

Raleigh Williams with DJ Showtime

First up on 15 November is Raleigh Williams, a vocalist, songwriter and artistic producer who blends French chanson, soul and jazz. Expect a hint of French flair in the mix, with DJ Showtime on the decks alongside her set.

Hoodoo Mayhem with DJ KG

The following week, on 22 November, Hoodoo Mayhem take over with a brass-heavy mix of groove and rhythm. The group is known for its high energy, so there’ll be plenty of reasons to get moving while DJ KG keeps the afternoon rolling.

Ben Hynes with DJ Chelsea Wilson

Wrapping up the run on 29 November, Ben Hynes brings his guitar and big vocals to the stage. His set mixes classics and feel-good favourites with a few surprises, and sing-alongs are on the cards. DJ Chelsea Wilson rounds out the afternoon.
