Jim Ward last visited Australian shores for the 2008 Soundwave tour, which saw him as somewhat of a dark horse on the line up, performing his earlier solo works acoustically amongst the predominately metal and hard-rock based line up. Ward also misses his former At The Drive-In bandmates by mere days, as Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodríguez-López swing by the 3000 for The Mars Volta’s splendour sideshow.
