Bron Lewis is getting brutal in Melbourne for Comedy Festival 2027

Words by staff writer

Bron Lewis has spent the year biting her tongue at home. Brutal, her 2027 tour, is where it stops.

Live Nation announced the dates on 6 November, and Bron Lewis has packed the calendar. Things kick off at Bunjil Place in Narre Warren on 7 February, followed by four Victorian shows on four straight nights in March: Geelong, Bendigo, Ballarat and Frankston. Then comes the long one. She’s at the Athenaeum Theatre for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival from 24 March to 18 April, every night bar Mondays, before heading to Cairns, three New Zealand cities and every remaining state and territory capital. The run wraps with four nights at Brisbane’s Princess Theatre, the last on 31 July.

Brutal picks up where her life currently sits. Her house is a mess, her kids are getting bigger and mouthier, her partner is testing her patience and every social outing feels like a slog. Off stage, Lewis keeps the venom in all day. On stage she lets it out.

Lewis taught high school until 2020, when she quit to do comedy full-time. Two years later she co-won Raw Comedy, and her 2023 show Probably earned a Best Newcomer nomination at MICF. Chaos, her 2026 festival show, picked up the first VicScreen Greenlight Award, which goes to a Victorian comedian with strong screen potential. That show also took her overseas for the first time, to London and Edinburgh, and she’s back in the UK for a full tour in 2027.

Screen work has kept pace. She’s a regular panellist on Have You Been Paying Attention?, has turned up on Thank God You’re Here and Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee, and was a lead in the ABC sketch show URZILA. Add to that a co-hosting gig at the 2026 MICF Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow and a debut book, I’m Not Mad Anymore, out in Australia and the UK. Her 2026 tours sold more than 40,000 tickets, and her clips have pulled more than 200 million views from a following of over a million.

Live Nation’s presale runs from 11am local time on 10 November until 11am on 11 November, or until the allocation runs out. Anyone wanting in has to register at livenation.com.au/register first. General tickets go on sale at 12pm local time on 11 November.
