Put the phone down, babe: DND (Down N Dirty) off-grid cabin stays reward couples who scroll less with cheaper bookings.
Ditch your phone and these off-grid cabins could be free.
DND (Down N Dirty) is a collaboration between sexual wellness brand Lovehoney and Into The Wild Escapes.
The deal is simple: the less you use your phone during your stay, the less you pay at the end. The name is a nod to the Do Not Disturb setting on your phone.
The idea comes from fresh Lovehoney research into how devices are affecting relationships. According to the findings, partnered Australians spend close to four hours a day on their phones but only about 19 minutes in physical contact with their partner.

That works out to roughly 12 times more attention going to the screen than to the person beside you.
The survey got more specific, too.
Plenty of respondents said they’d pick scrolling over time together, with 24 per cent staying up on their phone instead of heading to bed at the same time as their partner.
A further 23 per cent chose a screen over a proper conversation, and 12 per cent chose it over initiating sex.
On the flip side, 52 per cent of Australians said an off-grid escape with limited phone access would be good for their relationship, which is the thinking behind DND (Down N Dirty).
How the discount works
- Guests screenshot their average daily screen time when they arrive and again when they leave
- Lovehoney works out the percentage drop
- The bigger the drop, the bigger the discount
- Couples who cut their screen time by 50 per cent or more get the one-night stay for free
To help things along, the cabins swap phones for a disposable camera and a journal.
Every stay also comes with a Lovehoney Reconnect Kit, worth more than $250, which is sent to couples before they arrive.
The kits are designed to encourage exploration without any pressure, and there are different options depending on the couple.
Picks include the Lovehoney Pleasure Link Remote Control Couple’s Kit, the Lovehoney Rose Clitoral Suction Stimulator and the Lovehoney High Roller Remote Control Rotating Prostate Massager.
Every box also contains lubricants, massage oil and a bondage kit. With no Wi-Fi to fall back on, it’s just two people and whatever they decide to do with the time.
Lovehoney’s Sex and Relationships Expert, Christine Rafe, says the data points to phones doing more than interrupting sex.
She says they strip out the small moments that tend to lead to intimacy, like a proper chat with eye contact or a goodnight cuddle and kiss.
She adds that nobody has to bin their phone altogether, and that an hour with devices in another room, or a screen-free bedroom, is enough for most people to notice a difference.
Bookings open 20 October, which gives couples plenty of time to work out just how much screen time they could shave off.
