There’s no question that Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-ers Steely Dan have cemented their place as genre-fusing legends of music.
They’ve sold over 40 million albums, and you probably have a few. But here’s no substitute for listening live – enter, The Kites. For one night, this 9-piece band of pros (and Steely Dan superfans) are bringing the hits to life on stage.

Come catch the next big thing and see the new wave of young talent at Rock Academy.
This school holidays school of rock gives teenage musicians the chance to pull together a band, a setlist and a show to show off their stuff. Under the mentorship of indie rockers, The Teenage Dads, this pool of 70 young artists from Victoria, NSW and WA are kicking off their music careers with a bang.

It’s a legendary crossover of Aussie greats. The Painters and Dockers will take the stage, performing their iconic 1986 album, Bucket, from start to finish, joined onstage by Jeremy Oxley of 80s powerpop powerhouse, The Sunnyboys, for a few special throwbacks.
Expect hits like ‘Kill Kill Kill’ and ‘Jealousy’.
The incredible live album Buckets was recorded over two wild nights at Richmond’s Tropicana Club and Prahran’s Cosmic Comet Kaos Ball, capturing the golden age of live pub rock.

They’ve been Big & Horny for 27 years, but this 13-piece has lost none of their brass-driven power.
One of the few touring bands with a hot horn section, each vocal soar, guitar chord, twinkling keyboard, thumping bass and percussive rhythm weaves together as a brilliant musical fabric.
These maestros slip through genres with each toe-tapping, body-swaying hit, one minute Joe Cocker, the next Steely Dan or the Doobie Brothers and even Toto classics.
It’s big, brassy fun.

At each turn, frontman Dellacoma Rio rises like the ghost of Michael Hutchence and will have you double-taking at first glance (is it? No, it can’t be…).

Indie folk duo Husky are celebrating a milestone.
It’s been 15 years since their album, Forever So, launched them into worldwide fame.
Recorded in naarm, Forever So captured hearts with its gentle folk spirit, ane it was the first Australian album signed to Seattle’s Sub Pop label (maybe you’ve heard of a little band called Nirvana?).
They’ll be bringing it home and playing the hits all over again, like ‘History’s Door’ and ‘Tidal Wave’.

The multi-instrumentalist is taking to the stage as part of her The Wanderer Returns tour.

Janis Joplin’s legacy is astounding for her brief life, and ARIA-award-winning singer Karise Eden is the Joplin superfan for Joplin superfans.
Her show offers emotional interpretations of the rock star’s legendary catalogue, giving fresh life to hits like ‘Piece of My Heart’, ‘Cry Baby’ and ‘Me and Bobby McGee’, as well as her own original song inspired by Joplin.
It’s not imitation, but personal homage that starts acoustic and finishes with a full band, brass and all.

Fifty years since the release of ‘In The Suburbs’ cemented Dave Warner as one of Australia’s most original, vibrant proponents of ‘suburban rock’.
It’s time to revisit that glory. He’s gathered most of the OG lineup, with a few special guests, and they’re ready for a two-hour musical odyssey through the best of their albums, from Pus to Mugs Game and Free Kicks.

Who doesn’t love a singalong? Rebecca and Billy are back with St Kilda’s favourite audience participation show.
The Sing-a-long Society has been going in some form for 14 years, and their Caravan Choir has performed with the likes of Tim Rogers.
For this show, they’re cracking out hits from the 50s to the present day, a real mixed bag of musical stylings – you’re sure to know the words of at least one, so get those vocal chords warmed up.
