Sunday September 20th, the Bodriggy Brewpub welcomes 2 of Melbourne’s finest Salsa bands, Son Quba & Salsódromo. There will also be a free Salsa Dance Class from 2pm with Cuba’s own Aloy Junco from Cubaneo Dance School.
Son Quba:
Founded in 2015 under the tutelage of one of Cuba’s national bands El Son Entero, Son Quba performs traditional music from Cuba. Since then, Son Quba has evolved into a 10 piece Latin ensemble and regularly performs at festivals and music venues throughout Central Victoria. With repertoire ranging from cha cha to salsa, Son Quba never fails to bring dancers to their feet.
Salsódromo:
Bursting onto the Melbourne salsa scene just 12 months ago, Salsodromo is a hard hitting salsa powerhouse bringing the best repertoire of Colombia, Puerto Rico, Cuba and New York to the stage.
With a dynamic 7–10 piece lineup, Salsodromo delivers high energy salsa built for the dance floor, covering everything from classic salsa dura to Cuban and contemporary Latin music – guaranteed to have something for every type of salsero.
