This winter, CERES is inviting Melburnians to rug up and make the most of the cooler months at its Winter Twilight Market, held on the first and third Saturday of the month from 12pm–6pm.
As afternoon turns to evening, the park and gardens come alive with live music, fire pits, local food and drinks, and more than 30 stalls showcasing handcrafted goods from Melbourne makers. The Merri Café also stays open later, serving a seasonal evening menu alongside local beer, wine and warming winter drinks.
Set beside Merri Creek in Brunswick East, watch the sun go down from the top of the hill before settling in for a relaxed evening around the fire.
“Winter doesn’t have to mean staying indoors,” says market organiser Samantha Hulls. “The Twilight Market is about creating a place where people can gather, eat well, support local makers and enjoy the simple pleasure of being outside together.”
Whether you’re picking up handmade gifts, meeting friends for dinner or spending a slow Saturday afternoon outdoors, the CERES Winter Twilight Market is a reminder that some of Melbourne’s best winter moments happen after dark.
