The people behind some of Australia's biggest dancefloor moments are joining forces, with Foreverafter landing in Melbourne this January.
Dreamed up and curated by The Presets, who also co-headline, Foreverafter reunites three former Modular label-mates under the one banner. Julian Hamilton and Kim Moyes share the top of the bill with Cut Copy and Ladyhawke, whose combined work helped shape a distinctly Australian strain of electronic music.
Rounding out the roster are classic DJ sets from Bag Raiders and Bang Gang DJs, alongside fast-rising Brisbane-via-Sydney producer FUKHED. The whole thing is presented by Frontier Touring and Double J, and travels across three states before summer’s out.

The Presets land as one of the country’s most decorated electronic acts, holding seven ARIA Awards and a stack of gold and platinum releases since forming in 2003. Their breakthrough Apocalypso went triple platinum at home and spun off enduring cuts like My People, while 2018’s HI VIZ arrived at number one on the iTunes chart within hours. Melbourne’s Cut Copy bring a quarter-century of festival staples, from Hearts On Fire through to last year’s Moments, and Ladyhawke’s synth-pop hooks have carried her from Wellington and Sydney stages to audiences worldwide.
Then there’s the DJ end of the bill. Bag Raiders arrive with billions of streams and the inescapable Shooting Stars in their back pocket, Bang Gang DJs bring a party-starting legacy stretching back to the early-2000s electroclash boom, and FUKHED rounds things out with the relentless techno that’s made her one of the fastest-rising producers going around. Together they draw a neat line back to the scene these artists came up in.
