Melbourne singer-songwriter Sidney reveals four debut headline shows behind her EP what if it ends?
She’s been the opener long enough.
Melbourne singer-songwriter Sidney has just announced her first-ever headline tour, hitting four Australian cities this August and September.
Sidney will bring her EP what if it ends? to stages around the country for the first time as a headliner, kicking off at Northcote Social Club in Melbourne on 27 August. The announcement follows a stretch that saw Sidney open for Hazlett and Josh Pyke, head to Nashville on a creative trip, perform in NOVA’s Red Room and release her latest single tenth of may.
From Melbourne, the four-date run heads to Brisbane for BIGSOUND from 1 to 4 September before stopping at Miami Marketta on the Gold Coast on 4 September. The tour wraps up at Low 302 in Sydney on 17 September, covering both traditional headline venues and one of Australia’s largest annual music industry gatherings.

The what if it ends? EP is out now, with tenth of may the most recent single from the project. Until now, Sidney has built her profile primarily through her work as a support act, opening for established names on the Australian touring circuit. The headline run gives her a chance to play full sets of her own material for the first time, across four different rooms in four different cities.
The mix of shows is worth noting too. Northcote Social Club, Miami Marketta and Low 302 are all relatively intimate rooms, while BIGSOUND will put Sidney in front of an industry-heavy crowd at one of Australia’s most significant annual music conferences. Tickets for all four dates are available now, so keep an eye on Sidney’s channels for any updates on supports and set times.
