Iron Maiden have announced four Australian dates as part of their 50th anniversary Run For Your Lives world tour, with Megadeth joining as special guests.

The tour marks Iron Maiden’s eighth trip to Australia and the first time they’ll headline outdoor stadiums in Melbourne and Sydney. AAMI Park and Allianz Stadium join indoor arena shows in Adelaide and Brisbane across four dates in November. It’s a significant step up from the band’s previous Australian visits, which have steadily grown since their first appearance at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre back in November 1982 as part of the Beast On The Road tour.

The setlist draws entirely from Iron Maiden’s first nine studio albums, covering the era that defined the band’s legacy. Fans can expect tracks like Hallowed Be Thy Name, Run To The Hills, The Trooper, Number Of The Beast, Phantom of the Opera, Killers, Powerslave and 2 Minutes To Midnight, alongside longer cuts like Rime of the Ancient Mariner and Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son. With these Australian dates falling at the tail end of the world tour, some of these songs will be performed live for the final time.

Megadeth arrive on the tour off the back of a number one album in both Australia and the US with their self-titled final studio release. The pairing puts two of metal’s biggest names on the same bill across all four dates.

The production is being billed as the band’s most ambitious yet, built to suit the scale of the outdoor stadium shows. Iron Maiden are also bringing back Eddie’s Pop-up Dive Bar — a fan experience first trialled in Australia on the Future Past tour — along with the Trooper VIP Experience at all venues.

In line with what they rolled out across the European leg, the band are again asking fans to keep phones in their pockets during the show. The request proved popular overseas, with the band noting it made a noticeable difference to the atmosphere at every gig.

Telstra Plus members get first access to tickets via a pre-sale starting 4 March, with general public tickets on sale from 6 March. After wrapping the Run For Your Lives tour, Iron Maiden will take a break from touring in 2027.
