Inner West Melbourne welcomes a fresh dining destination delivering rooftop views and family recipes.
Odette House opens as the striking new three-level rooftop venue in Spotswood, Melbourne.
Odette House delivers uninterrupted views of the Westgate Bridge and CBD skyline from its ambitious three-storey Spotswood location.
The venue combines a breezy cafe, intimate restaurant, and rooftop bar. The first rooftop bar in the area, Odette House offers a menu drawing inspiration from Thailand and across Asia.
Jojo Parkinson leads the new Melbourne venue with personal recipes passed down through her family. The Bangkok-born home cook turned restaurateur also operates the popular Thai Alley in Eastland Shopping Centre. At Odette House, Jojo expands into broader regional flavours with her experienced team.

The ground-floor Melbourne cafe showcases Jojo’s personal design vision alongside Five Senses coffee and signature drinks like the Matcha Coco Cream. We’re talking iced matcha, coconut juice, and cream cheese foam, yum.
Food offerings range from satay chicken burgers to sticky pulled beef benedict. The menu also includes chilli scramble and smoked salmon croissant options.
Uday Restaurant occupies the second floor with plush orange booths and wicker pendant lighting. The name derives from Sanskrit or Arabic meaning ‘rising of the sun’. Jojo’s housemade curry pastes feature across multiple dishes here.
Standout offerings include slow-cooked Massaman beef cheek curry, reimagined as a pie for lunch service. Green chicken and eggplant curry provides another highlight. A vegetarian yellow chickpea curry from Southern Thailand rounds out the curry selection.
Additional must-try dishes feature chicken larb spring rolls and Thai-style fresh oyster omelettes. The Northern Thai classic Seua Rong Hai showcases grilled Scotch fillet. This Crying Tiger preparation comes with sweet and spicy tamarind, lime and chilli sauce.
Uday Bar crowns the venue as one of the area’s only rooftop experiences. The space caters to both casual drinks and private functions. Curated cocktails, local and European wines, and beer form the beverage programme.
Saturday evenings feature live music entertainment for you, Melbourne and, come Spring, the outdoor courtyard will activate as a dog-friendly cafe extension.
