All eras of Lou Reed will be celebrated, including everything from I’m Waiting For The Man to Perfect Day, from Venus In Furs to Satellite of Love, from Sweet Jane to Vicious, from Pale Blue Eyes to Walk On The Wild Side, and from Femme Fatale to Coney Island Baby. The event offers a unique opportunity to immerse in the mystery and majesty of Lou Reed as the visionary, cult artist and raw storyteller.
Robert Forster, co-founder of the influential indie rock band The Go-Betweens, gained acclaim for his literate lyrics and distinctive melodic style. Mick Harvey has been a key figure in shaping the dark, cinematic sound of post-punk and alternative rock through his work with Nick Cave. Dave Graney is distinguished by his flamboyant stage persona and genre-defying music, while Rob Snarski is known for his rich, expressive voice and evocative storytelling.
The tribute represents a gathering of Australian music royalty coming together to celebrate one of rock’s most influential figures. Reed’s impact on alternative and underground music continues to resonate decades after his groundbreaking work with The Velvet Underground transformed the musical landscape.
