Australian/American soprano Amy Manford is best known globally for her performance as Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera, both in Australia and the original West End production in London. She regularly performs around the world as a special guest with classical crossover legend Andrea Bocelli, and earlier this year joined crossover cellist Hauser on his North American tour.
Manford was awarded ‘Creative of the Year’ at the 2023 Marie Claire Women of the Year awards and has sung at iconic events such as the 2021 AFL Grand Final in Australia and for King Charles at Buckingham Palace in London. She most recently performed with the MSO in the sold-out Disney in Concert in March, which she also co-produced.
Josh Piterman brings an impressive resume to the stage, with musical theatre credits spanning West Side Story, Blood Brothers, Cats (a role that won him the Green Room Award for best supporting actor in a Musical), Hairspray (UK Tour) and the Australian tour of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
After making his critically acclaimed West End debut as the Phantom in 2019, a role he reprised at the Sydney Opera House and Arts Centre Melbourne in 2022/23, Piterman returned to London in 2023 to star as Jean Valjean in the West End production of Les Misérables. He was also an early member of international pop opera group The Ten Tenors. This marks Piterman’s second appearance with the MSO following the successful Performance of a Lifetime concert in 2021.
The celebratory concerts will also feature hits from Sunset Boulevard, Carousel, The King and I and more, promising an electric atmosphere that will leave audiences spellbound.
