Tyler, The Creator, born Tyler Gregory Okonma, has emerged as one of the most influential and versatile artists in the music industry. Starting his career as a founding member of the controversial hip-hop collective Odd Future, Tyler initially gained attention for his rebellious, boundary-pushing lyrics and raw production style. His early work, such as Goblin (2011), reflected his confrontational, rebellious spirit, but over the years, his music has evolved to showcase a more mature and introspective artist. Albums like Flower Boy (2017) and Igor (2019) garnered critical acclaim, with Igor earning Tyler his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Album in 2020.
Beyond music, Tyler is a multifaceted creator, excelling in fashion, film, and television. He founded the clothing brand Golf Wang, known for its bold, colourful designs, and launched his own music festival, Camp Flog Gnaw. His creativity extends to directing many of his own music videos, where his artistic vision is fully realised. Tyler’s journey from being a provocative, underground rapper to a respected, genre-blurring artist has cemented his place as a cultural icon, influencing not only music but also fashion and the broader creative landscape.
The tour announcement follows the release of Noid, the first single and music video from Chromakopia, which dropped earlier this week ahead of the album’s release. Tickets for all shows go on sale on Friday, 1 November, at 10am local time. For full ticket details, visit Ticketek or Ticketmaster.
